T-1 Rise of the Machines

T-1 Rise of the Machines This robot is a hard one to build from scratch as there are very little photo's on the net, I have searched for about 5 months and only come up with about 9 good res pics. GWJax found a good pic for me as well [far right in pic]. There are a number of sites dedicated to the Terminator series, but not a lot on the T-1 so I think that I will be doing well to complete this robot. It will be similar to J5 in as much that it will have an ITX PC and solid state Hdd and vision, quite a few sensors will be included, but the main attraction will be the live twin firing gattling guns which GWJax is building for me, These will be in the region of 10-13" long and will rotate at a pretty rapid rate, there will be a fair bit of timing to be done to get this right on GW's part. The base and tracks are finished, Two sets of batteries will be housed in the track sections, [Penty of room in there] and the main batteries in the mid section. At this stage...

Roboquad vs. Tribot: Ultimate Battle for Territorial Domination!

This is it folks! I have another robot in the family and Roboquad is getting sketchy. A territorial war erupted in my basement today as Roboquad guarded his half and Tribot mindlessly wandered in. Roboquad pursed and chased off the young Tribot and hostily countinued guarding his territory. More carrefully this time I should add. Tribot decides to guard his half and heads into guard mode. Roboquad comes in for an attack. He stomps in and takes Tribot by surprise sending him running. Finally Tribot stops and stays silent. Roboquad thinking he has won, stands by in the Activity Stance praising his victory over territory domination! But Tribot had a trick up his sleeve! He was in Alarm mode 1 min, when he went off and ran around shouting and making noises, Roboquad was alarmed and fled back to his own half and fell asleep. Chuckling with amusement, young Tribot fell asleep on his half as well. The battle is not over and Roboquad will be back for revenge. When I'm able I will show you pics of the battles, but that may not be for a while. I can't show you vids because I don't have the equipment at...

AIBO : What a shame it was discontinued!

Hello everyone, It's common knowledge that I'm a staunch WowWee robot fan and I definitely am. But hardly a day goes by that I don't cast an angry glare at Sony for discontinuing AIBO, and wonder what would have happened if they put all their efforts into creating a sub-$300 USD version of AIBO with most of the high end AIBO features. If that wasn't possible, then moving the high end processing CPU intensive stuff to a PC and providing an 802.11 link. This video is for anyone who wonders why I say this. (And this video doesn't even touch on the cool research projects people were doing with their AIBO's like inter-bot adaptive communication and learning, etc.):

I'd like to share with you all the new Parrot I have, it is called the Squawkers McCaw made by Fur Real Friends. This parrot is life size and is a lot of fun to play with as you will see in the video that I will post. Inside of the gallery you'll find the manual and a few pictures of him. He retails for 129.95 US but we had a Toys-R-Us stor closing down in the area and I got him for 27.95 US this ais a deal that I could not pass up and I'm glad I got him. He is for ages 5 to 105 per the manual and comes with a rubber cracker, a remote, a stand, and a of course the Parrot. As you look at the pictures you see the great detail that he has and in the video you'll see the movements and how he works with just your voice. If you love parrots then this is a must for you.. If any one out in the community has one please leave a message or anyone else have a comment leave one too.. Jax
