This is a simple question which has probably been asked and answered before but I am a new member from England so this is an easy way for me to introduce myself and get started on the site. What is the motor voltage on a Roborapien V2? Are the batteries run in parallel from each leg, giving 4.5 volts, or am I right in thinking they are run in series giving 9 volts? I was thinking of putting some flashing led's onto my V2 so wanted to know the voltage because I was considering wiring them into an existing circuit rather than running a separate battery. It currently cost fifty bucks at "Target". If it went on sale for half off, it'd be twenty-five bucks. I have heard that there are special editions of this product and would love to have one of those types. I have seen the shiny red type, but didn't like how the color mixed with it. I wanted blue more so. So, is there going to be a sale at that time for this item? Well, I better say, this item consist of a set of two, the main robot and it's mini verson in one box. I call him Spidy. One of his favorite places has been kitchen. I use program called Object Avoiding without left and right turns. One evening Spidy walked behind my bed and I went to watch what he does there. He was walking over my brand new writing pad (it was originally leaning against my bed) which has Spider-Man image. I put it some place near after attack but Spidy continued "hunting" it so I had to put my new writing pad far away from him. I recently brought a Robosapien V2 from ebay. It worked fine when it arrived,I put it away for 2x months for my sons birthday. When I gave it to him ,it wouldn't work properly. I replaced all the batteries with new ones and now it sometimes starts. When it stops it says 'I think I have a Bad Motivator' or User Error'. Can anyone help or do I buy another one for my son. First, the dissasembly. I decided the easist path was to start all black, and add the silver. The exception to that was the head, which already had a significant amount of the proper parts in silver. I washed everything with rubbing alcohol to remove dust and grease, and to have it dry quickly. I protected the head and motor in a bag, and sprayed the rest gloss black. Here's the intermediate result. I hand painted the black on the head, and the silver where needed.
