The upper body is glued together by two posts, one above and obscured by the PCB and other underneath the PCB, accessible but far back in the head. I was able to get a wire nippers in to cut the posts, with some ensuing distortion of the plastic. There is also a clip that will hold the upper halves together. Since the posts are hollow, I plan to fit a couple of metal rods in to hold the alignment but rely on the clip to hold everything together.
