Hello everyone!

As you may be aware, the wonderful and amazing MrScott (insert applause here for his devoted time as moderator) has retired from his position to spend more time contributing to the forum as a member and to work on his projects.  We once again thank him for his service!

Here to fill his shoes is Rudolph, who has accepted the position as RoboCommunity Moderator and will be taking MrScott's place.

Please join me in welcoming him to our team!

welcome to the jungle, You have a tough act to follow. The force be with you.

Thank you, thank you. As a long time member of the Dark Side (you can call me Darth Rudolph) I'm looking forward to this new appointment. Besides, we have cookies. And rum ;)

Seriously though, many thanks to MrScott for the job he did since before I showed up around here. "Big shoes to fill" is an understatement and a half.

Watch out, don't step in the anthropomorphization.

Rudolph is our moderator now??? Hide the children! Run for the hills! In fact if you have any survival sense at all, cut open the nearest Tanta you can find with your light saber (not included with purchase), jump in it pulling the internal organs over your body to hide your scent, and wait for a small green Jedi master to pull you out!

And, oh yeah, congratulations Rudolph! :)

Nice to hear the news, Rudolph. I think you will be a smooth moderator -- steady as she goes!.

Prepare ourselves we must, for the outbreak of swashbuckling that shall surely begin at any moment. Unfortunately I don't have a Tauntaun handy, so I'm just going to pull my blankets over my head and hope for the best.

Congrats Rudolph! May your nose shine bright and light our way!

@Nocturnal,

Tanta is a variant of the native Tauntaun used by a rare group of snow people that spell things wrong frequently. Thanks for the correction. :)

Nocturnal, you need one of these then.

Of course, everybody needs one of those. Even if they don't know it yet.

Watch out, don't step in the anthropomorphization.

*Laughs* I think I would get in trouble if I tried putting that on the Tanta page.

Unfortunately, I'm a little to big to fit into one Rudolph. I love the appropriate print on the inside lining.

There's a new Sheriff in town, folks.

Looks like somebody else will be getting the Golden Mop award for 2009. Tongue out

Just be careful not to step in the pickle juice in aisle 7.

Its a little early to be discussing nominations, but you have put in 4 months of distinguished service the year, so you still qualify. Perhaps we will have to add a lifetime achievement award to the moppies this year.

Straying wildly off topic here, but that mop looks strangely familiar, have you used it as a prop in another photo?

I missed talk like a pirate day last year (which is a shame, because I got all prepared with a special avatar and everything), I hope I don't forget this year.

Just so you know, I have section 51 clearance and don't need to be moderated

Oh, yeah?!  Well I have a Section 8 designation, and should be handled with extreme care. Wink

My threads have been categorized as weapons of mass distraction.

With all the news stories of late it's obvious new and unusual things are happening. Glowing puppies. AI Jeopardy Contestants. Replacement Rovio encoders.

All those "when pigs fly" events must be imminent, because the headlines are talking about how the Swine Flew.

Well, my name is Darth Vader and I come from the planet Vulcan. And if you don't take Lorranie to the Enchantment Under The Sea Dance I'll melt your brain. So there!
