Im curious as to how many members on this list that own a Rovio have had zero problems. I got the 5th Rovio ever released, was it October? I have had no problems with anything other then the initial setup which was my providers fault. So if you own a Rovio and its had no problems just say so here with month of purchase.

This is not a fair poll however in that lots of people that own them and have no problems and are not tech tinkerers will have no reason to come to RC, but lets see how many of us here are happy.

*laughs* No problems... I have had problems, for example, when I got my Rovio I was running WPA and Rovio supported only WEP. I am happy with my Rovio, but that's not to say that I have had no problems.

Nothing is perfect, but I have had pretty good luck with my rovio. I had it since December. Aside from a retry or 2 flashing firmware, the battery running down once when the dock unit got unplugged, and going bezerk trying to redock, and trying to find a valid port that could get through my corporate network's firewall, had a lot of good luck on laptops, pdas a regular cell phone and my buddy's iphone.

My dogs really like it and go mental chasing and barking at it.
so all in all, a great unit. especially for the $150 that I paid for it.

Setting up for the 1st time was kind of tricky but once that was done it works like a charm.

I have had no problems setting up and even using it externally. Which was a surprise considering I am only 14 years old(there were many adults stating they needed help setting up through out this forum). I guess you could say that I had one problem though, because I only can run rovio setup on 2 out of my 4 computers but I am ok with that.

Does this count, My first Rovio would not stay on the Dock to charge... So I returned it, for another one. The second one has been working fine, since the begining od December

(If this don't count, feel free to delete.)

I've had my Rovio a couple of months and zero issues.

I run on a static internal and external IP over port 8085

14 and no problems setting up? Einstein would be proud!

No that counts for sure, just looking for people who have had a Rovio up and running for awhile with no constant problems etc

had no problems with my rovios. I have 3 of them. 4 months ago, I had difficulty configuring my router for the 3 different rovios to stream independent videos. With the forums help I was able to set it up correctly. I haven;t had any problems since. One of the rovio went out of warranty last month, this made me decide to do the headlight modification. Even after this modification, I haven't had any issues. The 2 rovios will go out of warranty by July, By that time I will be do the headlight mod on these rovios.

I have no problems besides the fact that I learned that BJ's isn't an authorized dealer so I have no warranty what so ever on it and that I also just learned that Wowwwee is going to release a new Rovio (It was supposed to be released in the end of June).

EDIT: Also I would like to add that how was I supposed to know that BJ's wasn't an authorized dealer of Rovios? I had heard about Rovios online and when I found it there I bought it.

That thread about halfway down in a comment made by RovioXam about Rovio being discontinued for a new model.

You know, in trying to make a decision between Rovio and Spykee, the fact that WowWee is able to decide that a company is not "authorized" making the warranty null and void is really pushing me towards Spykee! I have never in my life heard of such an absurd policy!

Having the same problem with a TriBot I bought off Woot, I even went so far as to ask, three times, for a list of "authorized dealers". Needless to say, they refused, instead sending me a form letter with their warranty policy - which ironically says nothing whatsoever about the warranty only being valid if the item is purchased through an "authorized dealer".

Sorry... I know this isn't exactly related to the question. I would like to thank you for asking the question, though... not very encouraging  to see so few who have NOT had problems out of Rovio!
