This was a very interesting video, thanks for sharing it with us.

I think the mix of biology and robotics is always interesting and brings up a lot of interesting issues. I have a feeling this type of technology is only the tip of the iceberg...

I'm all for it. Besides, it os not a complete rat brain being used. It was a collection of brain cells taken from a rat fetus if I remember correctly (there was an article on this on engadget or something).

Yes, I'm sure that's right.  I was first envisioning something like Krang from TMNT or perhaps the inside of a Dalek living inside that robot ;)

Interesting to say the least.

People yearn after this robotic dream, but you can't strip your life of all meaning, emotion and feeling and expect to function.

I don't know why, but the concept of a biological brain directly controlling any technology as always fascinated me (I love the Terminator movies as well as RoboCop). Having said that and after seeing the above video I now have chills..

I started with 2 robots but before I knew it, well, it's a disease I tell you.
RSV1, RSV2, RS Media, Homersapien, Spidersapien, Roboraptor, Robotyrannus and Roboquad
