I have read reviews of it at many different sites and they are not very good.  A lot of people think it is a waste of money.  I thought that I would ask people here.  What do you think of the bladestar?  Is it worth $50 (or whatever the price, I know it varies depending on where you buy it?)  I was going to purchas one but if it is as bad as people say then nevermind.

Having flown the Bladestar and other FlyTech toys, here's my thoughts:

I personally think the Bladestar is a really cool flying toy and definitely worth the money, if it suits what you're looking for in a flyer.

If you're looking for something with a high degree of control, or an outdoor flyer, the Dragonfly might be a better choice for you.

If you're looking for something to fly inside that can hover and fly all by itself, then the Bladestar is a great choice. I also think the Bat/Fairy/etc are great indoor flyers that give you more input, but won't fly all by themselves.

You will have fun with any of the WowWee flying toys, it just depends on what you're looking for :)

Ahh. Thanks. Just one more question. How good is the Bladestar on autopilot. I hear it tends to crash a lot

I hear that autopilot is good when your not confusing it. Careful not to fly it in spaces that it will be avoiding objects so much it will crash. It's also sounds fun to use your hands to guide it. I am planning to get it for Christmas.

I bought a Blade Star and, sadly, it didn't work so I took it back to Target and got another. It didn't work either.

I started collecting robots when I was four and I haven't stopped since!

Well that's just plain bad manufacturing.
