Looks like the treads are bunches of carpet flapping around, which would explain where the static electricity comes from to make it stick.

Perhaps using swiffer pads instead of carpet could give iRobot's Scooba a run for it's money at floor mopping?

Just don't stick your tongue on it after driving or you'll get a pretty groovy zap.

Watch out, don't step in the anthropomorphization.
