I thought it was outstanding. Visually stunning, great story, characters, and humour. Seems to be a lot of stuff going on in the background too. I noticed a couple of things, but a second viewing will likely reveal much more. I saw this in a packed theatre on Sunday, with young kids, teens, and adults of all ages. Everyone seemed to enjoy the experience. A lot of people even clapped at the end when the credits started rolling. I see several movies every month, sometimes every week, at the cinema. It's really rare to hear people clapping at the end of a film; I've only experienced this three or four times in twice that number of years. I'll be going to see it again. Two thumbs way up!
Just a reminder that some community members have requested this be a no spoilers zone, which means we're not supposed to give away any plot twists.

Knowing pixar, there will be enough in there for the kids but a lot for grown ups too. I love their movies. They tell a great story those guys
I started with 2 robots but before I knew it, well, it's a disease I tell you.
RSV1, RSV2, RS Media, Homersapien, Spidersapien, Roboraptor, Robotyrannus and Roboquad
As is usual for Pixar, the story has several levels. There's the obvious storyboard outline that the littlest of movie goers can follow. There are some more complex themes and inside jokes the tweens will catch. Then there's the longer story arcs, social commentary, and larger issues for the mature audience to ponder.
...but mostly, it's fun, especially for robot fans.

Loved it, great story, great characters (especially the mix-match of broken robots) and visually stunning scenes. I gave a few hearty laughs at times, sometimes no-one joined me but then I was in a cinema of mostly kids. At the end we were two of the seven folk remaining to watch the 8-bit capers in the credits while the staff cleaned the cinema for the next showing.

Wifey, Son, and I were three of three who stayed for the credits. 8-bit Wall-E reminded me of E.T. on the Atari 2600.
I really, really hate it when I stay to watch credits and they turn up the house lights and start cleaning around me. I paid good money to watch the whole movie, which includes the credits, right up to the bitter end. Especially a Pixar movie which often has easter eggs. At our local theater I gave up complaining to the manager about it a few years ago though, since ~10 years worth of complaints before that didn't help.
Watch out, don't step in the anthropomorphization.
