Wouldn't surprise me. Several of Wow Wee's products have been released here before the US.

Yeah! I'm gonna check out the R2D2 at Kmart - AUD$189!!!. If the missus doesn't fancy that, then maybe the Roboquads have come down in price.
Saw an ad on the disney channel earlier today for Tribot, so, yes, it's available here in OZ. $99! Honey, have a look at this....

I checked the Official web site of the rsTri-Bot and it is not showing a release anywhere let me know if this is the box you get or is it a knock off of the real one.

No offense, but the official websites are not always up to date, especially about availability, and I'm not kidding about Australia and New Zealand getting the all things Wow Wee ahead of the US. Almost every release (the Dragonfly and or two others are the exception) happens here at least a few months before the US (in the case of the RS Media about a year before).

Just got mine at Kmart for AUD$99. Catalogue said $139 Heavy retail competition has started a price war.

July 4, 2008 6:37 PM

I agree with Sunbeamowner. Found Tribot in Kmart for AUD$99.00. In catalogue for AUD$139.00! I'm going out on Sunday anyway so I plan to prowl Kmart, Target and Big W. Maybe even Toys R Us.

I'm wondering why Australia gets all these goodies first. Is it because they're closer to the factory?

July 4, 2008 10:07 PM

This morning I visit my local K-Mart, where they had greatly expanded their toy section for school holidays and the toy sale they are having.

They had the flytech butterfly which I have come across before, as well as the Flytech Bat and Dragon, which I hadn't seen before.

As well as four different colours of fairfly's

All for $79.99 each (not a price I would be willing to pay for any of them)

As well as, of course, the FlyTech DragonFly, and...

BladeStar, not sure how long this has been out here. It wasn't last time I was browsing toy stores, but that was a while ago.

And of course RS Tri-Bot for $99. I also visited Big-W.

Who had HomerSapien

and more HomerSapien

I finaly located Tri-Bot on top of a shelf at the back of the toy section. No price though.

So I finally have a Tri-Bot, I was hoping to get a SpiderSapien for a reasonable price, but I didn't see any. I did buy a R2D2, but thats another story.....

Went to Bug W today. Have one Roboquad left on the shelf but it's the same price...AUD$72. However, I might be able to convince the missus about the last Spidersapien they have...AUD$50!! Here's hopin'.....

Nice one Nocturnal, As always AU seems to get them just a tad before NZ, but it will not be long before we do, I have to go into town this morning so will check out the stores. Not that I will be getting any though, my $'s are spent on J5. Now a break down on the Tribot by N should prove interesting though.
