So, I have been watching my local Sharper Image store that is just a few blocks down the street from my house, and sure enough, it's going out of business! Not that that's a good thing exactly, but I knew there would be some cool sh*t to score.

They put up big signs in the window saying "30 - 60% Off!" and "Store Closing!". Knowing that they used to carry some Wowwee robots, I headed in to see what I could find.

Unfortunately no score on the Wowwee stuff. Not a thing in sight. However, they do have a ton of Pleos in stock! They have been marked down to $244 U.S. dollars.

That is pretty cheap for Pleo and it got me all worked up. With the amount of Pleos they had on hand, I bet it will go even cheaper!

It was the first time I had seen Pleo in person and I got to play with him a little. I was quite surprised at how cute he is. Even though I hear that this the case from the Media People, I didn't think I would be susceptible to Pleo's charms. I thought it was all hype.

Right off the bat I was rubbing his chin and feeding him his leaf and squealing like a school girl at his antics. There were two tween girls all blinged out and ghetto who were playing with him at the same time and we were all were giggling and oohing and awwing and clapping our hands like trained monkeys. I'm pretty sure little pink cartoon hearts were floating up out of our ears. After a while, it was embarrassing and I had to hurry out of the store before anyone I knew saw me.

Needless to say I have been obsessing over him for a couple days now. I WILL score a cheap PLEO if it's the last thing I do! And then my Ghetto tweeners can come over and we will play house and have a tea party.
