Hey everyone just to let you know I now have a Tri-Bot that showed up in the mail box today with some instructions. I will be making multi articles on the this Bot an right now I have him still in the box until I have all the photos I need taken before unboxing him. Its very hard for me to not to just rip it open and forget the pictures just to play with him but I want to show you all each and every step of the way when you get yours in my new article "Just Arived -- Tri-Bot".  This little well I would not say he's little but about the same size as the V2 but just a tad bit smaller and hes looking at me in his red armor with black and grey parts to off set his bright red color of the body and wanting me to open him up but I'm trrying to explaine to him that photos must be taken first as all of my bots get a photo spread just before opening them. This is his first Photo Shot a bit blurry but the rest I'll take for him will look lot better. Just had to get a front shot for you all.

I feel that this Tri-bot will be alot of fun to play with for the young and old "but young in heart" in which most of us are. One video that I will take is with his alarm mode to see if the Tri-Bot will wake up my 15 yr old son which is very hard to do and to get him out of the bed, so this will be a great test for this function. If it works then we have a winner and you'll get to see it in action as it unfolds. I can't wait for this test. Go ahead and tell me I'm a great Father for doing this to him. hehehehe

So if there are any qestions or things you want me to try on this Tri-Bot just let me know and lets get the ball rolling on one of WowWee's new and fun product lines and lets have a lot of fun with it.

Congratulations GWJax! I love Tri-Bot. The games can be a great way to pass the time in a way that tickles your brain, but there's also just the raw thrill of driving Tri-Bot. He turns on a dime, moves really fast, and the diagonal movement is a real treat! I look forward to talking about him with you once you have had a chance to play with him.

We're all looking forward to it, Jax - glad to hear you got him! Roschler is right, Tri-Bot is very fast and can turn quickly - it's fun to spin him around 360 and make him dizzy.

Have fun and we're looking forward to what's in store!

Nice one GW, A write up is no doubt in store for us in your usual manner. Look forward to it.

Tri-Bot is not available on the market just yet, robodud - but a lucky few have been able to get a test and preview of Tri-Bot, along with other robots from WowWee, too - including the Bat and Femisapien.

Keep your eyes on the news column here at RoboCommunity, and you can keep up to date on when Tri-Bot and other WowWee bots are announced for availability in stores!

Thanks for the comments all, I will be opening him up to day and adding the batteries to see what he can and can not do, I'll push him to the limits and let you all know what happend plus I'll add video as well. I have already started an article on him and it will be quite long so look for it soon.
once he is released I should have a hack or two to share with you one being with the arms and maybe giving him grip power with a new hand will see how that goes. Well got to go back to work, I'll enter some more about him tonight for ya and maybe a video or two.

Deep Thought, my hacks will be out when the Tri-Bot are on the shelfs at the stores, I'm sorry about that but these are the rules I have taken. With that said I'm glad your excited about the Tri-Bot as much as I am. So if there is any testing you want me to do for you just let me know and I'll get it done for ya.

Thanks,

Jax

OK I had to Talk Tri-Bot into letting me do his photo shoot and being a little kid its hard to get him settled down because he just wanted out of the box, Well just to let you know the photo shoot went well and finally he came out of the box for more photo shoots. All he wanted to do is talk and play games so I removed his batteries to get him to hold still as he went to sleep. Well need less to say I took advantage of this and really got some good photos. After that I put his batteries back in him and let him play for awhile while I read the maual. I tell you what this is the best litte bot I've seen in a long time, full of energy and always saying something and yes you do have a volume control on him but I'll tell you more about that in the Article. He has so many phrases that I can not count, what a great robot, Did I say he was the best little bot I've seen in a long time!! he really like a smooth serface to run on but he's a little slow on the carpet unless the carpet is office type carpet, not too shure how he will do with shag carpet but I guess I should try it in the grass to see how he does. I have not filmed him yet and I see that the RoboRemote has not uploaded him as well into the program. I can't wait for this so we can make a good theme movie with him and the other bots using the RoboRemote. Well just wanting to poke in and tell you more about him and now I'm going to continue the article now that he is up and running around. See ya'll later and like I said if you want me to experiment with him just let me know what you want to see.

Watch out, don't step in the anthropomorphization.

Sorry, for some reason that was the phrase that popped into my head when I saw the picture of Tri-Bot. Think it was from "The Longest Yard" (the new one, with Adam Sandler).

Big dude asks "Can you teach me to football?" and Chris Rock says "I'll teach you anything, just don't eat me."

It was a brain-keyboard filter failure moment :)

Watch out, don't step in the anthropomorphization.

I got ya ok funny now that I understand it. Thanks for the insight. lol

Great photo.

Does Tribot interact with other WooWee Robots?

June 29, 2008 11:11 AM updated: June 29, 2008 11:12 AM

Here's a fun hack: Stick him on the back of a red Sharper Image Roboquad! He'd look coooooool. I bet he's easy to separate from his wheeled base. Oh wait! you could make a Medusa bot by attaching him to the end of RoboBoa. That would be entertaining as well!

I wonder if his circuit boards will be all nicely labeled like the past robots..

Not sure if it does but I'll try. The manual does not state that it interacts with any robot bt who knows they might, Thi first test I see if it works with the V2. I let you know the reults.

ya pretty neat Idea, the Sharper image Quad is the smae color and I have one that I use for testing so when the Tri-Bot is relaese to the public I'll test that out too along with the moving arms and hand grippers.

That's funny... I'm a hard sleeper too...

I currently use my iPhone's alarm and that does the job, so I don't think I would sleep through Tri-Bot's racket!

Your Tribot deserves hazard pay.

My late sleeping son is off to his junior year of college this weekend. It nearly killed him to work an 8-5 job this summer.

Ha ha ha , nice one GW, My son would kill me if I did that to him, I'd have to tie him up first before I did it. he he .

The words cruel and unusual come to mind...

Very funny though!
