The "extra" components (which are h-bridges for running the leg motors btw) are not missing, they have just been incorporated into the main circuit board. If you look closely at the differences between the two revision, you will notice an additional 8 transistors, which funnily enough, happens to be exactly the same number of transistors that were on the two hanging h-bridge boards in the previous revisions.

Just to add to the knowledge of Roboreptile, I have photographed 2 different Roboreptile motherboard configurations, for your viewing pleasure. The Mobo labelled G6020-1E has been previously documented in this forum thread, however, I post it here again so that is is easy to compare the two different boards. Also, the G6020-1E "build" of the reptile has a separate H-bridge (thanks to Nocturnal for that info) attached to each of the rear, hind-leg motors; it is shown below also.

I did a minor moderator tweak to the opening post to keep the pictures from stacking up side by side and blowing out the thread window border.

Thanks, Nocturnal, for the info. I figured that those extra little board thingys were probably H-bridges, but since I am just learning about such things, I didn't want to call them that and then be wrong and look stupid or confuse someone.
Another thing to note, the backside of the newer board is WAY less clearly labelled than the earlier one. It just has two letter abbreviations for things, where before, things were actually written out.
Hey Nocturnal, question for you:
In the pic i posted that shows the hind-leg motors, you can see that there are two ...capacitors? soldered to each of the motors. They are stamped with "104".
Do you know why they would do that? I haven't really seen that done before in the admittedly few things I have taken apart.
That capacitors are for noise reduction.

When in doubt, ask.

to clarify, in the version of RoboReptile that had the G6020-1I board in it, the rear, hind-leg motors plug directly into the mainboard, rather than going through the small, extra circuit boards in the other build. I am assuming that whatever purpose the extra circuit board had was incorporated into the newer motherboard.
..I guess I am assuming also that the 1I is newer than the 1E...
