Hi Guys ,

This is the robot my bro and me built ... it's used for spot welding on metal sheets ...

It has a movable X Y platform and auto align height adjustment to place the welding electrode right above the metal ...

What do you guys think ....?

Regards

Zomad

Interesting, the first question that comes to mind though, is why?

Very cool. Depending on accuracy, and with the right software, this type of robotic arm could be programed to weld a series of items over and over. Potentially, this robot could also create a much higher quality weld than an unsteady human hand would. Again, this would all be depending on the accuracy and software. In essence, it would be a step towards having your own mini assembly line.

However... If Zomad and his brother are anything like me, they might just like to tinker and did it just to see if they could pull it off. LOL

Either way... Good work guys!

This was built for a university automation lab to demonstrate electric arc welding techniques
