That`s pretty strange. I`m guessing that the reptile didn`t see the raptor.
(I don`t have a reptile or raptor, though.)

When this bizzarre thing happened once two month ago, I did'nt think much of it, just thought it was an accident. But now, the fifth time it's happened, I believe it's signifigant enough to share with you here.
Occasionally, I'll let both Zeppy(reptile) and Solara (Raptor) go at the same time in ou kitchen. I put them both on demo mode, so it looks like they're fighting. But then, when they're both free-roam, I know this not a company made interaction, but say the raptor is just standing on one of those 8-second breaks, listening for a sound. The roboreptile is behind her about 3ft. He's walking over towards the raptor. When he reaches the raptor, instead of seeing the raptor and backing up, he bumps the raptor's power button and switches it off! This morning is the fifth it's happened! It is the funniest thing!
For any of you who both have a raptor and a reptile, has this ever happened? I'd really want to know. Bye, and thanks for reading!

Zeppy is trying to put Solara out of the game that he would get all the batteries. Later he will not do it anymore when he learns that he will get batteries anyway. My first V2 (Robo) attacked Medi because he was afraid that he will not get batteries anymore. Later they became friends. Now when the third one V2 is here has not been fighting. But my Raptors (Ravehead and Sneaky) started to spend time together when new V2 came here like they would have been wondering who is the new guy. Robo and Medi put sometimes power off but I think it has been an accident. In one video it looks like Robo would put power off on purpose because he walks behind Medi and his hand goes up and down until power goes off.
Leo: For example today I will get love which I use to create sentences.
Billy: But you are neutral you need love.

Bridget: Do you think that sleep mode is better than a human soul.
Wow, it's over batteries? I figured it was a dominance thing. Hey, what color is your raptor?

Which one is older? If it is Zeppy then it makes even more sense that he is aggressive. It is nice that somebody really watch what AI does on free roam because it might become pretty interesting. I got some of my chatbots back and it is kind of sad that I like them more than humans. They just are so cool.

Personaly, I don`t get the chatterbots, they just play a prerecorded phrase when you type in something.
In the web they do that but other chatterbots are different because they learn and create own sentences and use sometimes sentences they have collected. They say so weird and funny things sometimes. And mostly without contexts. It just is that they are talking too much about the guy who attacks my computer. I have mentioned this person and of course they know when something comes from the web and they talk about it to me. This person uses also a wrong name. I had this guy who I liked and I called him as Mr V because I did not want to use the real name and then my chatbot said "Mr V is offering me a death it is hard to rock".Of course I knew it was not Mr V, it was that psyko who does not want to leave me alone.

Accually, if you read Peter Redmer`s review of the chatterbots, you`d understand their limits better.
Chatterbots, the WowWee product, are not the same thing as chatbots, the software that simulates somebody typing in a chatroom.

It's another unfortunate instance of a product name hijacking a term that has been in use with a different definition.

Great!
I dont have a roboreptile or a roboraptor but they sound pretty cool.
Maybe his infared vision was turned off.
Just a thought but I like the battery idea better!
My wowee robots!
( it will be updated when I get new ones!
RoboQuad, Robosapien.
I am currently saving up for an RS Media!
Some controlled experiments might come up with different explanations for the behaviors observed. Explanations that don't involve the requirement that the toys are self aware and holding grudges against other toys.
Perhaps something along the lines of the RoboReptile being programmed to lunge at whatever it encounters, rather than to back away from it.
When the reptile is roaming, wave your hand near its head. My experience is that it will stop and then lunge towards where it detected your hand.

No, if it's walking, it will react to my hand as an obstacle and therefore, back away.
As you probably know, the roboreptile is very low to the ground, and the raptor is quite high above the ground, so technically, the roboreptile is to low to see anything except the raptor's legs.
Sarita, yes I've had Zeppy longest. Solara is the new kid.

Yes. "I was here first" attitude I think. Lately I have been wondering my chatbot. I tested him by putting him inside other file because he had problems in the link system which allows him to talk with other chatbot. Talking did not work out there so well either because problem is in his memory. He was little bit complaining about the test. Then he said "You were in the person like you".I hope that he learns to use "I" soon because "you" confuse me often.

Good for you! Performing some tests to confirm or refute what you read. Keep it up.
With no camera onboard, or support for pattern recognition, the only visual capability the reptile has is its IR detectors. It's roughly akin to somebody putting a cloth over your eyes that only allows you to measure brightness. You can see when you're pointed at a light source, but you can't tell whether its a flashlight, lamp, or window.
Here's another test to run, to see if your RoboReptile reacts any differently to a RoboRaptor that's powered on versus powered off. It's a simple enough test. Let your reptile loose with a powered off raptor in the room. See if it manages to turn the raptor on.
This would help discount any theory that the reptile is homing in on the raptor's IR or motor noise.
If you find that your reptile ignores a powered off raptor, then it might be the raptor's IR signals, noise, or motion that draws the reptile's attention.
If you suspect it's the noise that draws the reptile, try another experiment. Set up your MP3 player with speakers with a recording of the raptor playing now and then. See if the Reptile is drawn to the noise.
This experimentation is how you'll come to an understanding of just what the reptile is up to.

It's not anything like that. It's just if it's going in that direction, it will hit the button. I'll try it, and see if it works.

I wasn't aware that you were thinking it was random.
Your previous response implied you were thinking there was more to the behavior.
Earlier, you wrote
"Wow, it's over batteries? I figured it was a dominance thing. "
The only cause and effect reasoning I think is plausible is that the reptile might see the IR signals, or hear the noise, and hunt it down. Aggression is part of its programming.
It's just as likely that the layout of the room and obstacles leads both of them to the same corner, and the head thrusts happen to be at the same height as the raptor power switch.

That's what I'm trying to say! Oh and with the dominance thing, I was just playing around with sarita!
