Large Metal parts - scrap yard

How do you program a robot - take programming courses (self study or at a school)

Jet Turbines - no personal experience with that, but since the jet boots won't really make him fly in a controlled manner, I suggest you steer clear of that bit of Hollywood fiction.

I think jet-boots are a lot like jet-packs, they work better in the movies. Hobby shops, specifically those that deal with model aeroplanes.

jet pack only lift you you up just for 9 seconds im looking for something that has jet turbine engine that has ultra-high speed turbines that can compress incoming air to incandescence and each attain a static thrust of 1, 475 pounds, yielding a gross lifting capacity of 2,700 pounds. For high-altitude operations, that each leg contains a compressed air supply that can continually top itself off even at high altitudes. Thus, the flight durations are practically limited only by the wearer's ability to resist fatigue. The maximum height [Iron Man] can attain is 70,000 feet. His maximum unloaded, evel flight at sea level is Mach 1.25 (960mph). do know where i can find an engine like that ?

I think the only source for such a thing is a light weight science fiction novel.

I guess you can buy an action figure and strap a toy rocket to it.

It's hard to beat the weight to thrust ratio of solid rocket fuel. You don't see turbines strapped to the side of the external shuttle tank, boosting it towards orbit. You see ammonium perchlorate solid rocket fuel.

The same fuel you'll see here, boosting my downlinked video camera on it's ride.

Here's somebody else's high power amateur rocket flight from various angles.

Looks like you may want to make some kind of rocket that looks like a pair of robot boots. Make sure you take a video or something of the launch because I wanna see it.

MrScott, thanks for sharing the videos of your rocket launch. My father, who is into R/C planes, has built a similar system for his models, that even incorporates a chip that will display on-screen altitude and other statistics.

He's the aeronautics expert, so I can't give you the full details, but I can definitely appreciate the effort it takes to put together a downlinked video rig that will stand up to the test.
