Well there has been some major strides obviously with RS Media and the Linux hack, C+ programming etc. Where do you all think we are going with this and what does anyone hope to do with it? Anyone feel confident that they can develop some form of image recognition, or more autonomy? This is and probably will be for quite some time the only Wowwee robot with any super hacker potential.

It seems there aren't a whole lot of us with Medias, and even fewer with the will to do something with it. There was very little response to Nocturnal's programming article, and I haven't heard of anyone else doing the serial console connection. How about you crmfghtr, do you have plans?

Thats true Milw there is not, I don't think they ever actually hit any American store shelves did they? Just online purchases. I am still trying to get the Java down but I have a spare RS Media I plan on doing Nocturnals hack with. However I have long way to go with the learning curve. I had done lots with the Sony Aibos and you know there is so much we could do with the RS Media as all the hardware is there, but so difficult to comprehend for an old dinosaur like me. Give me BASIC, Fortran or Forth and I am ready to go, but JAVA C++ etc, gonna take me awhile. I was hoping AIBOPET would be coming out with some new software or Nocturnal, guess time will tell...
