hi Robodud, I changed that huge URL into an embedded YouTube link, you can do this by clicking on the YouTube icon in the comment editor, and pasting the url into the box.

I see, you put in the name of the video, but that isn't the URL... you need to paste the part that starts with 'http:', like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=your-videos-number

robodud, you can also click on the "Videos" tab at the top to see a whole selection of WowWee robot videos.
I'm sure you will find something that you like there!

I don't know if knitsu ever joined this site. He wired a microcontroller to IR input, the PC sends a hex code to the microcontroller, the microcontroller sends that signal to the V2.

Personally, I don't find that particularly funny. There was nothing creative or funny about the methods they used. All I'm left with is a concern about what kind of adults they are going to grow up to be.

No redeeming value? That's my vote.
Off topic? Nope.... just poor taste.
Now, if doofus #1 managed to set that loose hay on fire, there'd be something to watch.
That, or if doofus #2 managed to pick axe doofus #1's foot, there'd at least be a moral to the story.

I'm not adverse to destruction, I just prefer it to be a little more creative or meaningful. On the plus side, it looks like the RoboSapien can take a hell of a beating.
I like your thinking Mr Scott, but I'd like to extend both scenarios to include doofus #1 & #2 explaining exactly what happened to their parents.

Ok mods, your call, but I do not think this sort of video should be seen by the younger generation, it only serves to give them idea's. The more they see the more they want to do it. Just my two cents worth.

After watching the entire aforementioned video, I have deleted it due to inappropriate language, on top of the fact that it doesn't add value to the community, and certainly wasn't funny, either.
Regardless of the inappropriate language, somehow I just got a disturbing feeling from it, and I feel bad for those kids.
I was young once, too (well, I think I still am) and did some pretty silly things (didn't we all) but I don't remember ever destroying a valuable and complicated toy - that was most likely purchased for me by my close family. That's just disrespectful in my opinion.
Anyway, if we're ever going to crack open and film our Robosapiens, it ought to be to put in a sweet new mod and show it off to the community, not to throw it in the trash.

edit: out of experience, I wouldn`t recommend that anybody do this- v2 gets loads of black marks on him that are hard to get off.
