I recently obtained my Dragonfly and I bought some rechargeable batteries for it. problem is: I can't tell whether they're alkaline batteries or not. The battery is a Varta fast-rechargeable battery. AA format and 2500 mAh. Can someone tell from these details whether it's suitable for the dragonfly controller or not?

Yes you can use them in the controller.
