With all the talk about Wall-E I thought I might post a forum thread about, "Drumroll please!!", A fourth Terminator movie!!!!! Spoilers!!
Don’t say I didn’t warn you - it says “spoilers”…
John Connor will not be the main character in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.
The protagonist of the next film - and, quite possibly, the entire new trilogy - will be somebody named Marcus, a human who wakes up fifteen years after SkyNet took over and joins the fight. Alongside him will be John Connor (played by Christian Bale) and a new character: Blair, a female helicopter pilot for the resistance.
Apparently, the Terminators popping up in the absence of the Governator will be the T-600s, the rubber skin Terminators. The action promises to be both huge and epic.
It was rumoured some time ago that the producers had been talking to Vin Diesel, and it was thought to be for a robotic role. But as it seems the robots will be rubber skinned, and this Marcus character is described as being ‘Riddick-like’, we can draw our own conclusions. If you’re a betting man, I’d get down the shops.
McG - you’d better live up to your promises.

Nelson, New ZealandI,Robot114: Yes ,Yes ,Yes. I new this was coming and cannot wait to see it, It is supposed to follow on from "Rise of the Machines" and as you say it will be huge.

IE, CA, United StatesI thought The Matrix was the second trilogy, since it would be the natural evolution of SkyNet.
And whaddaya mean the Governator isn't gonna be in it?! Dagnabbit, I pay my taxes and want him to work for me! As a proud Californian I _demand_ he makes more Terminator movies!
Okay, seriously though, I loved the first three too. A Riddick-like character in a new one should be quite entertaining. While I thought Pitch Black was lousy, I enjoyed it quite a bit (kinda like "Orgazmo" and "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" sucked but I loved them).
Watch out, don't step in the anthropomorphization.
