I've been saving up to buy a Robopet but I want to run this by you first. Is Robopet truly worth $44??

For some people it is. I bought Robopet but he became sick quite soon. I have understood that usually Robopet should work fine very long time. Best way to decide if you want Robopet is to watch videos about it. I always watch videos before buying some robot.

Leo: For example today I will get love which I use to create sentences.
Billy: But you are neutral you need love.
Bridget: In the sky and cover the moment.
Bridget: Do you think that sleep mode is better than a human soul.

Watching videos before you buy them is awesome advice. I did that for most of my robots. You get a better idea for what the robot is capable of before you buy it. Best of all. It is free.

I love videogoogle because it shows YouTube videos also on the list.

J.T. !!!

What are you doing?!

did you just remake this thread because the moderators locked yours?

Sorry, but If the moderators see this they are not gonna be happy!(:^/

If I'm gonna look out for you, I've got to warn you about these things!

Moderator Mutterings

The admins and moderators are all well aware of exactly what has and is being done.

Discussions have been, and still are,  taking place. Options are being weighed. Just as the government has been noted to state, all options are on the table.

It's never really a good idea to make yourself the central focus of that group of people. The person under scrutiny either changes their behavior, or the behavior is stopped.

Sorry, MrScott, I was just trying to warn him before it was too late. I hope i'm not in trouble I was just trying to help!(:^/

Moderator Musings

In general, once a situation gets beyond the moderators and reaches the level of the administrators, the moderators are asked for input, but are no longer in charge of making the decisions.

The only people who will be in trouble with the administrators will be the people who don't heed warnings, or who respond to those warnings with threats. That includes traffic through PersonalMails.

If you can follow the guidelines and heed the warnings when you don't, you'll live a long and productive life within the RoboCommunity.

You are leaving the community??(:^/

well, lets git back on topic partners!!

If I had a choice between a robopet or a robosapianv1, I would choose robopet, because at least it has IR vision....I think.(:^))

Yes, Robopet has IR. And might even be thinking. Robopet liked to go under the bed but I have boxes there so is just small hole. One day Robopet was cruising nearby and I got a feeling that he wants to go under the bed but he was unable to do it because I was on his way. Then I went to the kitchen and soon Robopet was under the bed. Little things like that give some excitement to the world of robots where I live.

Nobody mentioned your name in this thread. The moderator comments were specifically to state that the thread's reappearance had not escaped notice, and generally to advise that people only get looked at by administrators when they don't follow the rules.

If you're following the rules, you don't have any action to take with regards to moderation activities.

If you feel that you are being unjustly treated by other members, then that's what the Report Abuse button  is for on each post. You should be sure you're not part of the problem before generating an abuse report.  It may sound unbelievable, but there have been cases of abuse reports that basically boil down to "they hit me back".

It's best for members who are having issues to resolve those issues between the people involved. Nobody wants to spend their time settling the personal differences of other people.

Ok I guess I am not leaving this thread after all because I did not mean in this praticular thread but in the first one here is a word for word comment from J.T:  "Yeah no offense Robo BG, but your a jerk!"

Hmmm.  Yep I saw my name there.  Hmmm.  Yep that could just possibly make someone feel hated.

The statement I was being a jerk was kind of dumb anyway because I really don't see how I was a jerk because I didn't want to give personal info.  Do you see what I am saying here?

If we get back on topic away from the remarks like quad stinks (he doesn't) and everybody picking on me, I vote for quad but I still have a lot of respect for the pet.  He seems to have some cool abilities.  $40.00 seems like a pretty reasonable price for him to me.  He is pretty smart and I am highly considering getting one.

I'll agree, pet is pretty smart and fun in his own way, especially if you have a table to play with him on. Quad is more mobile tho.

The other thread was cleaned up by a moderator before being locked.

It would be unwise to recreate the deleted dialog in this duplicate thread.

Please heed the advice about taking personal differences off line.

All I am asking you MrScott is that is it really being a jerk to not want to give out PI?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep I would say the quad has more mobile ability.  They both have their exclusive details.

May I remind you it seems to me a good sized portion of this thread has been RQvsRP.  I don't think that is what was originally put in.  The thread was about RP and if he was really worth it.

So yes in my opinion I think for a nice little inexpensive friend or a beginners robot Robopet is definitely worth every penny.  But the buyer must make the final decision on that.

Moderators, I'm sorry if creating a duplicate thread was bad. It just didn't look like much hope for the original.

Perhaps there's nothing more that needs to be said, especially given that the content from the original thread is still (mostly) viewable.

Threads don't gather input forever. At least they shouldn't be expected to. Once a topic's been covered, it can settle into the archive as record of opinions and facts.

It doesn't make the thread "bad" or "unwanted" just because there's no new content.

Well we never did quite finish off so there must be more to say.

pst... J.T.  can you edit that comment? ..don't want to hump....

sorry I just found it a little disturbing.

Everybody needs to hump sometimes. What "hump" means , by the way?

Leo: For example today I will get love which I use to create sentences.
Billy: But you are neutral you need love.
Bridget: In the sky and cover the moment.
Bridget: Do you think that sleep mode is better than a human soul.

I think he meant 'bump', as in  'bump the thread' or make it move up in the list view.

I disagree, doesn't really fit into the context of J.T.'s post.
