Hey guys,

Okay, I have had it up to here with the rs media editing suite and wowwee's lack of help. I have tried following suggestions found in the forums but nothing seems to help. I can't export personalities onto an SD card, I can't transfer anything to the robot. Is there anyone here that can maybe post a video tutorial of the basics (macros, personality transfers, even teh steps you take just to connect the robot and work with the sd card)? I would really really appreciate this, and I know it's kind of asking alot, but I just can't seem to get mine working properly and it is really annoying how wowwee has still not responded to my email and how they are now late in posting the vista patch. Thanks

Well, first of all, make sure your SD card is a 1 gigabyte or smaller and empty. Put it in your RSM, then start your RSM and let it boot all the way up. Then turn RSM off, take out the SD card and put it in your computer's card reader. You should see a number of directories have been created. Can you try those steps and report the results back? I'll check in again this evening when I'm at home and have my RSM on.

Scott

I did what you said and the following files were created:  Application, Music, Photo, Java, Personalities, Videos as well as program_mode.pg and robotMS office outlook configuration file

okay, for the first time, i have successfully transferred a personality to the robot!  for some reason, my wav file was played fast (like a fast forward high voice sound) so that is a milestone to overcome, but at least now i have hope for the future!

OK, that's great! How did you do it, by having the  SD card in your computer and using the Media Suite? That seems to be the easiest method, once you have those directories created.

yeah, once those files were made, i was able to transfer my personality onto the card (when teh robot was hooked up directly, the transfer never worked).  So now that I have that basic ability down, finally, I can work on making a complex personality!
