Has anyone heard of this robo?! find out more at Kibertron.com.

In the process of development...

  • height: 1.75m
  • nominal weight: 90kg
  • degrees of freedom: 100
  • feeding: autonomous, electric
  • autonomy: 12 hours of average load
  • basic senses: vestibular apparatus; vision; hearing; olfaction; sensory systems for: orientation, distance, position, illumination, touch, pressure, temperature, humidity and self-diagnosis
  • maximum speed of walking: 2 m/s
  • maximum speed of running: 4 m/s
  • intellect: similar to the human intellect, with severely limited reality of existence, through "living" in an approximated five-dimensional space
  • level of intelligence:zone of experimentation
  • body: kinematics, dynamics, weight-carrying capacity and resistance to external influences all similar to the human characteristics

Sounds cool doesn't it?!!

Took a quick look.

No sign of anything other than plans and talk at this point.

Not that plans and talk are a bad thing, just that there's nothing to see but 3D modeled finished robot parts. No subassembly specifications visible at a quick glance. No prototypes built.

Hey, iRobot...  I fixed the post you created.  Lots of table goop in there.  Best not to copy and paste from Word or other packages, as it just adds a bunch of unnecessary formatting and can jack up the look and feel of the page.

Also, please try to post threads to the minimum number of categories.  Excessive cross-posting to other categories just clutters up the forums.

Thanks, man!

the other thing, honda has been working for ages and only come up with the asimo,  how come they come out of no where with a cool looking robot like that.

Asimo is cool... I want one!  LOL  Toyota also has a few robots that can play the Violin and Trumpet!  The robot discribed above does sound interesting... though much like the Asimo and Other robots... I would be afraid to see what the price point would be!  Money mouth

Here is the pic of Kibertron that the site shows as V1 of his body design.  Granted, as stated above, this is all still just theory and planning.  Check out the info page below... they have some concepts that are pretty out there... but sound interesting... IF they work!

Cool design.. but I don't know..
It looks kinda..hmm..thin?
You know..it looks like it's gonna be hard to keep balance as a humanoid robot

Well what do I know ;)

Damn the expense
