Hehe - it's definitely targetted for RSV-X owners. The range of motion & fluidity of movement is much superior to anything so far in the RSV series & the option of being able to program her motions by moving her body & limbs is definitely neat.
I wonder if she can kick without falling down :)
It's interesting to review this thread about a potential Female RoboSapien that came and went last summer.
The thread wasn't started by a company rep, but there was some fishing taking place within the thread for wish lists and expectations. I wonder how much of the FemiSapien was still under development at the time.

New stuff again in this clip:
* Her hands can grip - one sequence shows her grasping then delivering a letter
* actual footage of an RSV1 controller moving the femisapien, note how smooth her movements are compared to the RSV1
* does backup singing for a karaoke session (whatever that means :)
The humanoid Wowwee bots so far haven't impressed me but this one I'm definitely getting.
The "grasping" hand looked more like somebody figured out they could wedge a business card in a crack between two pieces of the buttons on her hands. I do the same thing when I stuff a toll road card in a crack between two sections of my dashboard.
With each video we get another glimpse of some of the interactivity this bot may have. This time we learned that three hand passes in front of the face can call out a stored program. I'm not sure how generally useful that is, but there is some sensors and triggering going on there, so there is potential for hacks into that for other uses.
I'm not too impressed with the recurring references of "This is RoboSapien's girlfriend." and demos of how it simulates kisses. Somehow this seems less geared as a robot for girls as it does a robot geared for teen boys interested in girls.
I give it about two days from first shipment to when the fanboys start posting robo rutting on youtube.
If they're going to appeal to that side of the quirky community, an all chrome variation done up like Sorayama's Sexy Robot artwork would sell a pile at Spencer's Gift Shops.
I know that RoboSapien and RSV2 have been carried at Spencer's in the past. Farting robots are in line with a lot of that store's other merchandise.

One sequence I'm waiting for is the extent of how much "command" the Femisapien has over the RSV line. If it's something like that between the RSV & the Raptor then it's nothing new. But if it turns out that this new bot is something like a miniature remote control then that would be interesting - specially if specific sequences can be triggered by a program like Robodance.
Interesting stuff - now I really want to find out more about how she "controls" the other robots. I know that she can "talk" to the other robots. When I get more info on the extent to which she interacts, I'll definitely post it. All I know is that from what I've seen, she's pretty amazing!
