No I meant like what is he doing uhh fictionaly. Is he like seeing the abject and reacting to it by saying hello or is he reacting to human face or open space? Not the technology behind it.

Robo BG: Strange, Mine has never said Hello, He just makes strange noises when he approaches an object??????.

Well it sounds like hello. Its like a eeeeuuullllloooo. You know? He's in his smart scan then all of a sudden he stops while looking at something and goes aaaaaooooo. Then he turns to it. Walks toward it and goes eeeeeuuuulllloooo. Then he waves (if he's in autonomous mode when he does it he waves). I don't know what he's doing or what he sees. It doesn't make sense.

Guys,

Need help here.....mine....when I set my RQ to smart scan....just scan...then remain stationery.....wont move to the nearest object....why???

Help me out plz.....is this a defective RQ? Just got it 2 days ago....

That is not what smart scan does. Smart Scan looks for any change from the first scan pass and then reacts to it according to personality settings. Approach Nearest Object will make RQ go to the nearest thing. That is Shift-Orange Autonomy Button( the thing with the brain).

IC......soo smart scan function...it will just react...not necessarily move towards the closest object....correct?

if so...then it works fine..coz, my RQ is reacting......hehehehe

Great! I'm glad your here! In smart scan mode sometimes he will scan stop at his side, make a noise turn toward that side and walk towards air then stop and make a sound that is vaguely close to "hello". What's going on?
