Tight. The Femisapien looks interesting. Would definitely like to see what she can do with the whole "emotion communications" feature. Hopefully the movements are not clunky or awkward. That will be the big factor for that one. And the price of course.
I was quite impressed with the new change to the Alive series. They finally went away from the bodyless design! The only thing that bothered me was the price. It feels a bit low! That would suggest the features of this one may be lacking compared to other bots. I didn't see any leg movements displayed. Hopefully the retail version will have well defined actions. It seemed to not move very much and the legs appeared stiff as a board! It did look like the real thing though. That was pretty cool. The other "clones" were ok. Time will tell if these will actually be fun to have running around the house.
Tribot! He looks like another interesting toy to have! The price seems right considering he isn't trying to walk. That is usually the source of added expense on the product. I like the wheel design. He can go in any direction! Now if he could actually pick up objects and run around with them, that would be very cool. I am already thinking of a fun mod that allows the user to extend the waist so that he can grow by about 3 feet! I'll need a cheap plastic lightsaber and a pulley system though. That way he could pick up small objects and toss them in the garbage for me.
I was hoping the new flytech would venture into more interesting flying devices. This one however, feels almost completely obscure when compared to the Dragonfly. They could have made something a bit more interesting. I dunno. Maybe a flying fish? A flying bath tub? A flying squirrel? Or maybe an actual flying dragon! Fly Dragon! Ah well. There's always next year.
Since robots will one day populate every aspect of your life, its a good idea to make friends with all of them. Otherwise your shower bot might decide to play around with the water temperature while you are showering...
