Hey everyone,
I just came across this amazing video of a prototype military exoskeleton and had to share it with the rest of you. We are SO close to having Mech Warriors!

Yeah, I've seen that one. You should also look at the Japanese HAL suit and the BLEEX.

now thats what we all need when the wife comes home after shopping.lol
GWJax, To Hack and make mods on robots is a life style and comes natural and not by choice. If a robot has a screw to open it then it must be opened!
Granlarseny37: I could do with one of those exoskeletons right now, I might be able do more work around the house and give myself more time for robotics. Dream on.
People yearn after this robotic dream, but you can't strip your life of all meaning, emotion and feeling and expect to function.

Liked the Sarcos one better seems more versitile some how.
"Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
Thanks for the Video Grandlarseny37, that is pretty impressive. I would have to agree though, the Sacros does look to be a more mobile unit. The other just lumbers about. Now granted, I but it has a lot of fire power to compensate for the lumbering. But what good is that if your target can run circles around you while you attempt a half turn?
I liked how the "Future" designs looked much like a suite off of Halo. LOL Another great example of the old debate, life imitating art, or art imitating life! LOL
Overall, it is a very interesting concept. Especially when they talk about the person being able to step out and the unit possibly being able to go on its own. Though, would suck to get stuck inside one that decided it had its own plans and took you along for the ride! Haha
The suits worn by the spartans in halo always reminded me of suits worn by the Mobile Infantry in Starship Troopers (the book, not the movie).

powered exoskeletons have a long history in science fiction.
