This is my first attempt at using Robots/Toys in film making. I've tried to do something different than all the other videos of Wow Wee products I've seen by using greenscreens, special effects and CGI. I'll answer all questions on what software and how the special effects were created. Hope you enjoy my first attempt at using robot actors.

hi days77- welcome to the community! I fixed your YouTube link, so the movie is appearing (for me at least, how about everyone else?).

What software do you use to do the compositing? We'd like to do similar stuff (my son is into stop motion) but After Effects is too expensive...

 Thanks for posting your video!
cheers- Scott

Thanks for fixing the link. I use a combination of products to get the final result. I use adobe premiere 6.5  Windows movie maker and Intervideo DVD creator and recently purchased FxHome Effects Lab Lite. FxHome has also Composite Lab Pro and Lite which would do the compositing and is inexpensive compared to the Adobe products. FxHome Demo's are fully functional except the video will have a watermark.

I did the greenscreens outside using painted table tennis tables. Robosapien was well behaved for all takes and didn't mind doing several takes to get the shot. However, Roboquad was a different story as he kept looking up and at everything else going on in the garden! I had to turn his sensors off!!!

I've created episode two: Robosapien Strikes Back

I've also recently acquired a Robosapien v2 and plan to make another movie shortly featuring that robot.
