I was recently duped into purchasing a counterfeit Dragonfly on ebay and i want to bring it to everyones attention.

http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110144501116&rd=1&rd=1

As you can see the description is very misleading and even includes a video of the genuine dragonfly. I thought i was buying the real dragonfly and when i found out it was a fake, thanks to these forums, I imediatly tried to contact the seller and demand a full refund. So far there has been no response.

Basicly what i'm trying to do here is put pressure on the man selling these fakes so that i can get a refund and be able to afford the genuine article. More importantly however i am trying to make people aware of these fakes and I am trying to stop this man making a profit on Wowee's ingenuity.

Please leave a comment on this thread. Think of it as an electronic petition. Maybe if we get enough responses we the public can make a difference and get this man to to stop selling these fakes.

Thanks for posting this warning, Eoin.

Have you informed Ebay? There is a process on Ebay where you can expose frauds -- and it shows up anytime they try to make a sale.

Also, I would suggest emailing wowwee themselves (since it is certainly in their interest to prevent this, and cuz they too are in Hong Kong and so may have other recourse).

Keep us informed about how it goes.

Resistance is Futile. You will be assimilated.

well Just a quick update on whats going on for anyone interested. The seller has offered me five of these fake Dragonflys which he is insisting are an original product, naturally i refused and will settle for nothing less than a full refund as i do not want to support counterfeiting. Bribery isn't gonna work on me.

he has also offered me a refund if i return the product, he hasn't emailed me back regarding postage and packaging yet. Understandably i do not want to incure postage costs to hong kong but as you can see things are looking up a bit. I think he's starting to feel the pressure.

No response from wowwee as of yet.
