I'm pretty sure that pleo isnt released yet. It doest sound hackable either. Just like an AIBO with no hacking.
Hey gang...
Just saw this article come across the wire, and wondered if anyone out there has a Pleo and would like to share any experiences. Should I pick one up? Is it worth the $300? Etc. If nothing else, I love the image they used with the article........

You know, quitej, I think you're right. I quick-read the article, and missed that it doesn't appear to be out yet. Hmmm ... that's going to make it hard for anyone to have concrete experience, aye?! *smacks forehead*
I have to say that, from the sounds of the linked article, it looks like it might be pretty impressive, tho. I'm sure everyone here will keep an eye out.

Actually, its more hackable than most of WowWee's product line. It may or may not be more hackable than the RS Media, it depends on what is in the "Pleo Developers Kit", which apparently allows you to modify his programming.

I dont know if he's more hackable, but i think it's very beautiful from the robotic response... I was very fascinated! Pleo's body, his skin, his fluent movements... i think i'll purchase one when he comes to Italy... :D
