Roboquad's website has been updated as well

Why would wow wee choose to release it in some countries and not others.  Its not like nobody would buy it.  You would think they would release it to all countries and make as much money as possasble.

Probably because of Marketing problems.. But I don't know what/why.

Maybe we will get lucky and the only reason it is not getting released is that there saving the release for a better version

One word, Ebay.

No doubt they will pop up on the net regardless of what countries it is released in, I'm curious about the price tag though.

No way i am buying one on ebay.. You have no idea if it is dammaged or is defective.  Not to mention that the warrenty will be no good if you buy from another country.  I think I will wait and see what happens.

May 6, 2007 5:17 PM

I woundn't buy from  ebay either..

You have to remember that it takes money to make each roboboa. If they sell it everywhere and don't sell very many, then they will lose money.

There whould be a survey on wowwee.com and then they  can see if its a good idea or not...

I think they should only ship a small supply to some countries then they will not loose money if tey don't sell good and if they turn out to be very popular then they could ship more.

I'm checking with WowWee to get the official info on release date, etc, and to see if we can get any more information.  However, I doubt that it'll be as high as $200-300 USD.  I can't imagine even half that, given WowWee's excellent track record for very affordable bots.

I'll get back with more info as I find it.

Agreed.

Europeans always getting everything first...not fair, damn it

May 7, 2007 9:45 PM

not quite true

Japanese first, then Europeans...then the U.S.

May 7, 2007 10:27 PM

I wonder why we have so little info about the boa. Is there a chance that it may not be released like the P bot. But wow wee wouldnt just stop somthing after they started giving some away.

I want some info on the toy. Cant wait till it is on the site.

IM EXITED THOUGH! ROBOQUAD, ROBOBOA, RS MEDIA! (yay!)

I have the RS Media though. Which I want to play with so Ill stop typing but then why am I still? uhhh bye

 Latest word from WowWee...

Roboboa will ship to Russia (outlet: Toyland) on May 15th, then to the UK (outlet: Toy Option) on May 28th.  No word about other international outlets (originally it was going to France and Spain too), but they're pretty sure that it won't make it to the US any time soon.

I'll continue digging, and see what else I can find out.

Oh, and Billboard, don't forget that Alive Elvis will roll out this year too.  Going to be a great summer!
