Clean the D-Cell contacts (and also the batteries) and reinsert them. This helped me when my RSV2 had a bad motivator

I have a similar problem with my Robosapien, it arrived
me like some two weeks behind, I was operating it with
the Robosapien Dances Machine, and after ordering it a
Fetch, only positions their hands, and it didn't make
anything, I attempt again two time more and reacts a
little, and a little later told me that the right
battery was low, and then shutdown. I put it then of the
side right the batteries "AAA" rechargeables such as the
of their foot right, I turned on it, but nothing didn't
make absolutely, I thought then that all the batteries
were totally discharged.

I allowed pass 4 days more, recharge the batteries AAA
Energizer, and I had 3 packages of batteries new
Energizer D type- I buy them in packages of 6- and in
order to become trained it to the grandson of a friend,
I put you them, all new newly open and loaded.
Upon turning on it, begins saying "self diagnostic
initiated, and after that, only moves the eyes and the
head to the same time, with two short movements, right
and left, I have that push stop, it's not made the
presentation of WOWWEE Robotics, only it makes the
flinch once, and later no longer you see the objects or
my close hand, equal the audio system, only it makes it
once, moves the arms, the hips and the waist well
directly, but upon putting it to walk, and put it we
give, reset, special functions that include the legs,
bend down to grab objects, etc, you simply position
their arms lightly to the front, and it doesn't make
anything more; I put stop, and responds, but doesn't
move the legs, neither obeys all the commands.

I use Energizer Batteries type "D" and Energizer rechargables for their brain (type "AAA"), and then change the rechargables for Energizer "AAA" alcalines.

What do I do? do I harm it, does enter in short circuit,
and if is it so, where do they repair it or do they give
me a diagnosis guessed right of the one which it
happens? I live in Cancún Quintana Roo, Mexico, and in
these moments appears me far of any place of the world.

I bought a Robosapien v2 for xmas and about 3 weeks after very little use,I left it on free roam,It was wondering about I didnt even have the remote to hand!,

Suddenly i heard a click and now he leans to the side. He cannot walk and doesnt return to his original position.

I also have tried to contact knitsu for advise but with no avail can anybody help?

Is it fixable?

Will it cost alot?

And where should i go for this ?

Please help ?

Hey cooter, my first robosapien did the same thing.  The whole "bad motivator" saying is a quote from star wars.  Also, NAOM1, Try checking his ancles.  When mine made a click noise and stopped walking it turned out the plastic around his on ancle jammed preventing his foot from moving correctly.

Oh ya and try asking wowwee for another one if its defective and replace it if you can.

My both robots use rechargeable batteries for the brain and they are normal.

Scott, I hear alot of people say i tried contacting knitsu but no avail.. what do you really mean by that.. maybe he doesn't like shipping to the US, i know here in canada he would probably help me out...

Yes, (pardon by not answering before), I'm already contact with WowWee, and they supply me pieces and reserves, provided I tell them that it is the one which I need, here in Cancún, there is a store of RadioShack that this willing to fix me it, with the condition of that I get the elements for the repair of my Robosapien, and as fears me that they are not me going to give the guarantee in Ebay yet, then I'm going to revise first, it perhaps is something as simple they as you say, any connection outside of their place, and if this further on of my knowledge and abilities, I then go to RadioShack.
