Hi All,

One of the java games on my grandaughter RS is corrupt.

I have tried to copy it from my RS but cannot find the games, has anyone know a solution to this?

Thanks

You could try using the restore button in the media manager of the RS Media software suite.  You may need to install the latest version from the wowwee website.

Hi Artanor,

thank you for your reply.

I'll try that and post the result.

The Java games are NOT stored on the user memory (ie the bit we canaccess), a restore will do nothing. They are copywrite material(copywrited by people other than WowWee, the games are available forpurchase for various platforms) so they put a little effort intoprotecting them.

I'm fairly certain I could come up with a fix,but I couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't seriously damage yourgrandkids RS Media's brain, and I don't like putting myself in alegally precarious position (Which is one reason why I haven't postedimage file of the brain).

OK well downloaded it and its deffinately the full OS software for the linux brain part of the RS Media.  Its doesnt look like an update though as akadata on the rs.tk forum noticed his shipped version was dated 22 october.

Interesting, WowWee support told you where you could download it?

Thank you very much to all of you for your help. Strangely enough, after some rebooting it seems to be ok. Anyway, is the update OS (brain) proper for the RS? What I mean is, will it restore to factory condition/setting including the games if need be?

Ok, off topic, I need advice on this battery(ies) :

NiMH battery, 1.2V, 10000 mAh Weight: 6.0 Oz.

Charger: Vanson BC1HU

Thanks again.

PS I'm having trouble posting if I use Opera but this is only happening on my Desktop, any ideas?

I've only had a brief glance, but it does appear to restore most ofhim to factory condition (assuming thats what the images are), It alsocontains provisions to upgrade his linux kernal, but the image file forthat is missing.

Thank you for your reply Nocturnal. I think I'll leave things as they are untill I learn more about what RS media can do. I only had mine for about a week, bought it in sales at Debenhams (UK) for £ 90.

Any advice on the batteries and charger?

Thanks again
