The Robosapien V1's big brother, the Robosapien V2 has many more features, including a human voice instead of the caveman grunts of V1. RSV2 also boasts a color camera, grip sensors, and dual IR sensors, allowing it to track hands, identify different colors, and know when it successfully picks something up. It has 4 different walking gaits, as well as foot and hand bump sensors, which in conjunction with the IR sensors allows it to navigate around obstacles. The Robosapien V2 also sports the "puppet mode", which allows you to program movements by moving the joints into different positions.

Generic Robot Base with RSV2 Attached
I thought I would put up some photos of a weekend project making a robotic base. This project would be a good exercise for members and others in constructing a simple robotic base. The base is constructed of alloy, the wheels from an R/C toy and casters which were lying around, some parts have to be made. Motors and motor drivers will vary depending on what you have or install.
