The upcoming JavaOne developers' conference will be featuring Robosapien RS Media as a "show device".  JavaOne is sponsoring two programming contests, giving conference attendees the opportunity to compete with one another to use their Java skills to make our media-laced robotic friend do his thing.

The two programming contests are:

• The Dance Contest - Create a midlet that successfully integrates original choreography, utilizing the robot's movements, with crowd-pleasing music.
• The Escape Contest - Create a midlet that uses all of the robot's sensors and systems to enable the robot to escape the "The Room of Doom," which is a 5' x 5' hexagonal shaped area with a red and white color scheme.

The two contests will be run on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the JavaOne conference, from 11:30 AM to 7 PM PDT. To enter one of the contest, you must be registered to attend JavaOne, as well as register in person at the Contest Booth located in the Java Playground area of the Java Pavilion (Booth No. 1336), and sign up for an Entry Submission Time Slot ("Time Slot") for you to showcase your demo.
