UK online gadget publication, Pocket-Lint, is reporting that 2 new versions of the Robosapien (version 1) will be released this summer. They will be modeled after fictional comic/cartoon characters, Spiderman and Homer Simpson. They will be named Spidersapien and Homersapien respectively. These 2 new robots were launched at the London Toy Fair, and are both scheduled to have releases that coincide with the latest Spiderman and Simpsons movies due out this summer.

While the new robots will still essentially be 'dressed up' Robosapiens, they will both say new phrases in keeping with their characters' personalities. No pricing is known at this point.
