Cool Programs To Use for Roboquad <Session 1>

When Robosapien first came out, he had 6 program slots available. Now, Roboquad has 40! I am going to show you some cool tricks that you can do with Roboquad's program mode.
First Session: Doing the Electric Slide (Roboquad Style!)
- Enter your Roboquad into program mode using the "Program" button.
- Go to Shift Green on the remote and then hit go right (his left: This tutorial should be done while you are looking at your RQ from the front.)
- He will go about one step, then stop. Here, you press Shift Amber and press the Rotate Counter Clockwise button (the arrow button curving to your left on the right side of the remote.)
- Next hit Shift Green and tell him to go left (his right).
- Then, repeat Step 3.
- Next, go to Shift Green and hit Go Backwards (it will be the arrow on the remote pointing towards you).
- Then, go to Shift Amber and hit the Activity button twice (allow him to complete the 2 second demo before hitting again)
- <Optional> Click Shift Amber and tell him to walk Forward (the arrow pointing away from you.)
- Now go to Shift Amber and hit the Program Play button.
- Go to Shift Red and hit the Aggression button.
- Then go to Shift Green and hit the Aggression button.
- Finally, hit Program Play to see it all come together. It should resemble the Electric Slide, only a little slower.

Just a minor pick of a nit on the statement about RoboSapien's programmability being four slots.
The user manual describes four different subprograms.
Three of those (left, right, sound) can be up to six robot actions. Those are normally associated with a sensor trigger.
The Master Program can be up to 14 steps, and those steps can include calling the other programs without the sensor needing to trigger.
That's 3 unique 6 step actions, which can be called from 3 of the fourteen main program steps. That's give a total of 11+18=29 possible unique, linear program steps.
If the action you want is very repetitive, like a dance move, then use of the three subprograms to do the same action sequences repeatedly would allow you have your choice of 14 calls to 3 different 6 step actions. You could get 84 steps, in 14 groups of 6, in a single programmed sequence.
Not too shabby for their first offering.

I did research the RoboSapien quite a bit when it first came out. The lack of persistent program memory kept me from prying my wallet open. That remembered research was enough to know that there was more than four program steps in WowWee's first robo. The rest was a matter of reading the online manual to refresh the details.

Yes it's out now and you have hopefully already seen it. If you can post on it and give me a few ideas on new things I could configure for him.
I was thinking about doing the Cha Cha Quad style. The lyrics would have to change though. Is that alright?

Wait till all of you see the RoboRemote, This remote is the best thing I've seen in a long time. You can program all your bots togeather and making routines for them is a snap. Also you can share the saved files with each other to run the programs that you've made. RoboBG you'll love it as everyone out there will with almost unlimited programming routines. We are working on an article for the remote when it comes out to the stores so look out for it. I believe the release date is sometime in May 2008
