At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week, we had the chance to visit WowWee's booth and get a demo of the forthcoming Robopanda. It's quite an impressive little robot with a lot of functionality.

Here's some highlights from the demonstration:

• The Robopanda does not require a remote control. All interaction is done through touch sensors throughout the body of the panda.
• It has three different modes for interaction: Training mode, Friend Mode, and Menu mode.
• The voice files for the Robopanda are stored on a cartridge that can be removed and changed.
• The Robopanda can sit up, crawl, and move between these two positions.
• Availabe last this summer or early fall for around $229 USD.
